Project 01(B) : Precedent studies to the subject matters
Project brief
For this project, to understand the importance of precedent studies, we are required to do precedent studies of different selected spots in Bali, Indonesia or Kl area in form of groups of 7. Therefore, we went to Bali, Indonesia for our design excursion trip. For my group, we are chosen to do precedent studies of SECRET GARDEN VILLAGE whom architect is ANDRA MARTIN. The special features of Secret Garden Village are the sustainable / educational program, building and space design and the beautiful surroundings.
Secret Garden Village is tucked away in the less touristy Bedugul area and the architecture itself is a sight to behold. The complex was built to promote educational tourism and visitors can expect facilities like a beauty heritage museum, beauty factory
that showcase the process of making natural / organic product, coffee factory and a lot more based on the idea for sharing knowledge and experience in the frame of historical line

Reflection
In this assignment, I've learnt a lot, in terms of communications, collaging and photoshop skills. For this assignment project1b we are required to produce an A-2 size presentation board, a A4 rationale, a video documentation about the one of the sites we visited named SECRET GARDEN VILLAGE at Bedugul Bali which is built by Andrea Martin. For the site, we are focusing on the BUILDING ANALYSIS + INTERIOR. It''s special features including the sustainable and educational program, building and space design and the beautiful surroundings. The parts im focusing on are natural ventilation and wall.
For the informations we have collected all the photo datas and video files, and compiled it together. I learnt a lot on collaging the photos, it's much more harder than expected to align the photos to a nice line/form because of the variety of sizes and edges. Our largest obstacle in this project is the layout of the presentation board, but a few attempts we are able to come with a nicest idea and move on to the next step. I also learnt a lot on my topics (natural ventilation and wall) especially wall, concrete ribbed wall can be seen a lot on both interior and exterior walls to give an impression of height and interior spaces and also a clean feeling. Ive gained a lot of knowledges on but;ding analysis and interior of Secret Garden Village.
