The architectural manifesto I chose is The Seven Crutches of Modern Architecture by Philip Johnson. The Utopian Paradise case study my group (consisting of Wong Siew Sang, Sunny Chung Cheng Hong, Ling Lee Jin, Ng Shi Qi and Wong Q Yan) had chosen The SPATIAL CITY by YONA FRIEDMAN. We are looking into each Utopian Paradise's context, core ideologies, period and key figures/keyworks, critical commentary on pros & cons, speculation of the revised Utopian Paradise and improvement/degradation. (Dissecting frames - Investigation on Spatial Design in Motion Picture )
For the final project of Contemporary Design Theories, we are required to look for a motion picture and dissect the frames. We are to justify the selection of our motion picture, investigate the key spaces and the interactions between them, understanding the concept fo space, analysis and write a critical evaluation of spatial design of the motion picture about 2300-2500 words.
The motion picture I've chosen is Along With The Gods : The Two Worlds (2017) and below is my final essay.
